No, you are not required to be present for delivery. We ask that the area is accessible and clear for delivery. If you would like to leave cones or markings you may do so, or leave placement instructions with your sales rep. We also ask you are available by phone if possible, in case we have a placement issue or concern. If the driver is unavailable to reach you, your container will be rescheduled or placed in the next best spot per the judgement of the driver.

Typically we need 2-3 business day lead time in order to schedule a delivery, move, removal, relocation, etc. However there are circumstances where we may be able to fit you in sooner, or may not be able to fit you in depending on demand during that week. Scheduling in advance is always recommended.

Yes, you need to provide your own lock. We recommend a 70mm disk lock, or a 1.5-2 inch padlock if choosing to use the lockbox feature. You can buy locks at your nearest hardware store.

Our office is closed on weekends, however we can accommodate Saturday’s when requested.

Schedules are not finalized until one day prior to the delivery date, you may always call or email the morning of to get an estimate of time for that day. Our driver operating hours are anywhere from 7am-7pm, M-F, so your container will be scheduled anytime in that time frame. If requested, we can accommodate a 2-hour window based on the availability of our schedule.

You may schedule a delivery, move, removal, or change with our sales team via phone or Email at 651-688-8822 or at dartportablestorage@dart.net. Please keep in mind we require 2-3 business days in advance when scheduling.

We request a one business day notice if you need to cancel. There is no penalty for cancelling one day prior to your scheduled date. Refraining from signing the contract is not a valid cancellation notice. Please call or Email if you need to cancel. If the delivery has already taken place, you will be charged.

: As a licensed contractor with the city of Minneapolis and St. Paul we are required to pull a street permit for placing a container on the street. We can get the permit and pass along the cost to you. Street permits do not cover street cleaning and snow removal operations. You are responsible for any citations. You are responsible for communicating any street cleaning or snow removal operations events to us, in which we will do our best to accommodate. If the container needs to be moved during such event, you are responsible for the cost.

Yes, you can access your container while in storage during business hours 8am-4:30pm, M-F. Yard access is closed on weekends. You must provide us with one business day notice in advance. There is no charge to access your container. You must be in good standing on the account to access.

Containers are stored at our HQ at 800 Lone Oak Road, Eagan, MN 55121. Containers are stored inside of a secured gated, fenced in area, with a camera and a guard shack. You need a code for access. It is very safe. Containers are stored outdoors. We do not offer a climate-controlled option as we use a steel weatherproof shipping container.

Containers are 8 feet wide, and 8.5 feet tall. We offer portable lengths of 10, 15, and 20 feet. We offer stationary (non-moving) lengths of 25 and 40 feet, as well as 53 foot semi-trailers and ground level construction offices.
